Are there any cheap hotels in New York City?
I am planning a trip to New York for spring break, and we drive from Wisconsin. Me and my parents all have our control which is aboutt, 2000, all together, plus the money they get from the job and the money we've saved, as I do not know how much it is. We are not acting like crazy, just sightseeing cause I wanted to go since I was little and my life would be made to go on this trip. 
I would check Craigslist for vacation rentals in http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/vac/ it is especially for Manhattan as far as finding the cheapest I would suggest you give an exact date, so Search for cheap hotels are narrowed down. Also check out Woogo apartments http://woogo.com/oldsite/default.aspx They are full apartments you can rent for a decent price. FYI for any property book, they will put a cap on what credit or debit card you use for your reservation. When I went back to visit I was hit with a $ 500 hold for a week "Incidental expenses"
